«УРА! – Уроки русского англоговорящим. Russian for Speakers of English» is a short-term abinitio course of Russian as a foreign language consisting of a book and a workbook. The course of 30 academic hours has been especially designed for English-speaking audience and is based on the communicative approach to language teaching with wide use of visualization, cultural commentaries, educational games and songs. The course prepares students for a successful and enjoyable first trip to Russia where they will be able to communicate in simple everyday situations.
The topics of the course include greetings, talking about yourself and your family, your job, the weather, time, directions, shopping for food, accommodation, ordering drinks and snacks.

Dr Nadia Bragina is an educator with 20-year experience of teaching Russian, English and Spanish languages to students of all age groups in various settings ranging from private lessons for students seeking face-to-face personalized tuition to teaching groups in the HE and FE environment both at British (St Andrews, Belfast Metropolitan College) and Russian (International Institute of Management “LINK”) educational establishments.
Nadia's strong educational background includes numerous teaching qualifications such as PhD in Education (Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language), Master degree in Education (Linguistics and Teaching ESOL and Spanish), Certificate in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language and Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Adults provides her with detailed knowledge of various methods and sources of language teaching as well as with understanding of the process of language acquisition on the side of the students.
